CALL FOR WORKSHOP PROPOSALS

IEEE Joint Conference on E-Commerce Technology (CEC’08) and
Enterprise Computing, E-Commerce and E-Services (EEE ’08)
July 21-24, 2008, Crystal City, Washington, DC USA
http://cec2008.cs.georgetown.edu

The 10th IEEE Conference on E-Commerce Technology (CEC'08) and the 5th IEEE Conference on Enterprise Computing, E-Commerce and E-Services (EEE ’08) are the flagship annual conferences of the IEEE Computer Society Technical Committee on E-Commerce. In 2008, we will hold both conferences together as a joint event, providing a platform for researchers and practitioners interested in the theory and practice of E-Commerce and Enterprise Computing. The conference will focus on new technologies and methods that enable business processes to smoothly extend in a cross-enterprise environment, including solutions to facilitate business coalition in a flexible and dynamic manner over coming Next Generation Internet which provides ubiquitous, multimedia, and secure communication services.

Besides the main program, we will host a number of workshops on topics related to the general theme of the conference. Workshops are meant to facilitate the exchange of ideas and experiences between active researchers and practitioners, stimulate more intensive discussions on new and emerging issues in line with the conference topics, and provide a meeting point for the community. Workshops may concentrate in-depth on research topics, or may also be devoted to application and/or standardization issues. Workshop organizers are responsible for establishing a program committee, collecting and evaluating submissions, notifying authors of acceptance or rejection in due time, ensuring a transparent and fair selection process, organizing selected papers into sessions, and assigning session chairs. All the workshop papers will be published as regular conference proceedings by the IEEE Computer Society Press.

Submissions are invited for workshop proposals to be included in the CEC’08 and EEE’08 Workshop Program. Proposals for one-day workshops are requested and should include the following information:

  • Workshop title
  • Primary organizers, their affiliation, and contact details
  • A statement of goals for the workshop
  • Workshop theme
  • Likely participants

Workshop proposals should be directed to the CEC’08 and EEE’08 Workshop Co-chairs JJ Jeng (jjjeng@us.ibm.com) and Thomas Setzer (thomas.setzer@in.tum.de) in electronic form (plain text or PDF) by the deadline indicated below.
